January 12-18

Prayer Focus:
This week, let us pray that God would give each of us a piece of His heart (i.e. a specific burden and passion). The entire heart of God is too big and too intense for any of us to handle alone; it takes the entire body of Christ to do that. I pray that God would give me a peice of His heart, allowing me to feel His burden and passion for whatever aspect of the kingdom He sees fit.

Update

I mentioned in the last post that there would be an "easy" weekly reading selection. However, Pastor just challenged us all to read our entire bibles this year. So, we are stepping up to the challenge and stepping up our reading schedule. We will be using the chart, but we will not be starting from the beginning of the chart. We will begin from where we left off at the Starbucks Studies, and then we will return to the beginning when we finish the chart in September. That actually works out well as far as the NT is concerned, it starts us off with Romans.
The selections for the entire week will be posted on Monday.

What's this all about?

Every week TRUTHWEEKLY will feature a timely Prayer Focus, as well as an inspiring Bible Study. The idea is for us all to be focused together in "one mind", as is exemplified in Acts 2.

Prayer Focus: This feature will allow us to utilize the power of united prayers. I am asking everyone to take time in your daily prayer to address the Prayer Focus for that week. Also, please post any prayer requests that you may have as comments under this post.

Bible Study: This feature will consist of an easy reading selection for the week. From there, I want you to be the one doing the studying! After reading it, I want you to make a comment on it. I am asking everyone to comment each week. That way, everyone can see whose read it, and hopefully the accountability will help you stay on top of your studying. Plus, it's always exciting to pool observations and insights!

Well, as you can tell, I'm super excited about this! So lets rock it!
